Sonoma Coast

To all CRCEA Delegates, Alternates, County Association Members, Affiliates, Retirement Board Members, Spouses and Guests:

The Sonoma County Association of Retired Employees (SCARE) cordially invites you to attend the California Retired County Employees Association (CRCEA) Fall Conference at the

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Sonoma Wine Country
One Doubletree Drive, Rohnert Park, CA 94928

Note: Words shown in blue and underlined are links that you can click on for more information.

The DoubleTree is located in Rohnert Park with easy access from Highway 101. For those who are flying, the DoubleTree is also a drop off and pickup location for the Sonoma County Airport Express which services both the San Francisco and Oakland Airports. The Airport Express is not available if you fly into the Sonoma County Airport. From there you would have to rent a car or take Uber or Lyft to the hotel.

October is the perfect time of year to enjoy Sonoma's gorgeous landscapes. We hope that you will take time to see the breathtaking redwoods and the many regional and state parks, to experience the Fall colors of wine country, to taste at Sonoma County wineries and breweries, and enjoy the agricultural bounty of the North Coast. While Sonoma County is famous for its wineries, it has become one of the major producers of artisan brews in the U.S.

We would love for you to extend your stay in Sonoma County. The special rate at the Doubletree is available from Sunday, October 27 through Thursday, October 31. There is so much to see and do while you are here. Click on Activities for more information.

This Fall's CRCEAConference Program is available now. The opening session begins at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 28. Tuesday's session begins at 8:00 AM. On Tuesday evening there will be a banquet dinner (optional) at a cost of $55 per person. The evening will include entertainment and door prizes. The Conference will conclude on Wednesday morning with the CRCEA Business Meeting.

Registration packets have been mailed to the people on the list provided by CRCEA. The registration form is available here if you didn't receive the packet in the mail. Your completed registration form and check must be received by September 27th, 2019. (For late registration, email registrar, Phyris Tobler, at phyris@sbcglobal.net to see if there is space available.) The check should include the registration fee of $75 for each member attendee (excluding Affiliates) and $30.00 for each spouse/significant other plus $55.00 for the banquet if you want to attend. You may contact Carol Bauer, Conference Host Committee Chair at 707.874.9149 or bfuzzy51@aol.com or Co-Chair, Kathy Young at 707.539.8027 or kyoung2@sonic.net for additional information.

Hotel reservations are to be made directly with the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel by September 26, 2019 by calling 707.584.5466 and referencing the CRCEA Conference or registering online at the DoubleTree Hotel. You have a choice of a room with 2 queen beds or 1 king bed. Cost is $173 per night for single occupancy; $183 per night for double occupancy; and $193 per night for triple occupancy. The cost includes self parking, breakfast and in-room WiFi but room tax will be added. These rates extend from Sunday October 27th through Thursday, October 31st (based on space available). It is a good idea to book early as October is a very popular month in Sonoma County and the hotel may fill up, plus the reduced rate is only guaranteed through September 26th.

We look forward to seeing you, and to your participation at our conference.
