The Sonoma County Association of Retired Employees (SCARE) is a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to promote and protect the welfare and interests of Sonoma County retirees.
SCARE is the only organization dedicated solely to representing all Sonoma County retirees.
SCARE works to improve the quality of retirement by:

Members receive access to discounted group insurance, including:

Each year, SCARE funds five scholarships:
✓ Three scholarships at Santa Rosa Junior College
✓ Two scholarships at Sonoma State University
Available to children or grandchildren of Sonoma County employees or retirees who are members of SCERA.
Retired Members:
Associate Members (spouses, domestic partners, widows, widowers):
✓ Dues are deducted directly from your SCERA pension
✓ The SCARE Board of Directors is entirely volunteer-run
✓ Board members receive no compensation
✓ Dues are used only for actual operating costs and advocacy

Please fill out the form by typing in all required information in the input fields, then print the document (as a PDF) and sign the application by hand.
Alternatively, you can print a blank copy of the application and complete it entirely by hand.
Step 3 — Mail Application
